I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Ex twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
